PM Imran Khan Inaugurates the Coal-fired Power Plant and Looking Forward to More Implementations
PM Imran Khan Inaugurated the 1320MW China Hub Power Generation Plant (Coal-fired Power Plant) on Monday. He discussed the pattern of other projects. And, supporting the upcoming joint ventures involving companies from both countries.
The PM further added that Coal-fired Power Plant is a first joint venture project, which is inaugurated. Many Chinese companies are looking forward to coming to Pakistan.
He also requested the workers of the inaugurated plant to consume 20% of Thar coal reserves. So, we can also reduce the Current Account deficit (CAD), which was huge because of the previous government.
He regretted the less use of hydropower in past years. PM asked about the desalination plant for Karachi’s water issues to the local and Chinese companies.
Furthermore, he stated that corruption is the major barrier for coming investments, development, lack of trust from the mining companies and much more. And, we should resolve it at first.
He also revealed the interest of China for stepping into the Fisheries sector. In addition, he seemed satisfied with the progressing CPEC projects, improving the country’s conditions. He forced on the topic of youth, to let them work sincerely to utilize natural resources, making Pakistan a better and developed state.
