PM Imran Khan’s Latest Arrival to Inaugurate the Hub Power Plant
PM Imran Khan arrived in Karachi for a day-long visit. The purpose of the visit is to hold some meetings and inauguration of the CPEC-based Hub Power Plant. Radio Pakistan informed that the Grand Democratic Alliance, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), and PTI members of the National and Sindh Assembly will meet Imran Khan.
Federal Miniter for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Swati, Federal Minister for Planning Khusro Bakhtyar, Federal Miter of Water Resources Faisal Vawda, Special Assistant to the PM on Petroleum Nadeem Babar and Former Finance Minister Asad Umar are accompanying the Prime Minister of Pakistan during this visit.
The leading group will get details about the progress of the city projects under the funds of the Federal Government. In the meeting, they will also likely to discuss the transport issues of Karachi with the Urban Transport Company.
Then, Imran Khan will finally inaugurate the 1320 Megawatt coal-fired power Plant by China Power Hub Generation Company (CPHGC). The Hub Power Plant is one of the early harvest projects of CPEC and is a joint venture between CPHGC and HUBCO. This will add great value to the CPEC and economy by providing billion kWh electricity every year for four million households.
